The color of sun and warmth, joy and wealth, reason and optimism. It is these associations that arise when the color yellow is mentioned. Bright and cheerful, it is the color embodiment of energy, movement and positivity. In addition, yellow, together with red and blue, makes up the main color triad that determines the existence of all other shades. What the color yellow means and how it affects the human psyche will be discussed further.
How does it affect a person?
As stated above, yellow is a warm color, but it has less impact on a person than, for example, orange or red. It also invigorates, but not as intensely. It also affects a number of physiological processes occurring in the body:
- improves vision;
- reduces blood pressure;
- improves the activity of the nervous system;
- helps increase muscle tone;
- normalizes breathing.
This color evokes a surge of positive emotions. It helps reduce fatigue and reduce nervous tension. In winter, shades of the yellow spectrum help cope with the lack of sun and vitamins.
The use of yellow in clothing
Yellow is a bright, active color that attracts attention without being riveting. Easy to perceive, and if it is not extremely bright, then it can be called unobtrusive.
1 It visually expands the volume , like all warm and light colors, but a well-chosen combination and cut can nullify this effect.
2 Bright yellow is not suitable for everyone ; when combined with a cold face shade of weak contrast, it can highlight all the imperfections. But the “spring” skin color type will remain fresh and attractive. Bright yellow also looks good on a contrasting type of appearance (“Winter”) (for other types, other shades of this tone are suitable)
3 Wearing clothes of this color, you can irritate teachers or management . This is because tired people reject it, and if they lead you or you depend on them, you may pay for your carelessness.
4 Don't wear it to business meetings . Firstly, due to its irritating effect. And secondly, because you will be considered not serious, and perhaps even deceitful.

I’m not an alcoholic and I’m not pregnant... I don’t like yellow... I’ve never loved yellow... I think it’s because I saw enough of yellow walls in kindergarten, during nap time... I almost never slept during the day, and I had to look at yellow walls while the other kids were sleeping... Bright yellow generally makes me sick... But the paradox is that now I live in an apartment in which ALL the walls of all the rooms are painted yellow. The strangest thing is that I don’t notice it, the color itself on the walls looks very decent. I even like it.
